Sissybar Backrests

A sissybar or sissy bar (we never know if it’s one word or two) is a slightly harsh term for a passenger backrest. We don't think you're a sissy if you use one - frankly the choice between that and falling off the back when your driver shows off the bike's acceleration - makes it an easy decision. Add to that the comfort of having something to lean back against and the option of adding a luggage rack and you're sorted for the next big road trip.

Sissybars are usually specific to the make and model of your motorcycle, or rather the mounting brackets that are included with the back rest are. Side mounting plates are designed to bolt onto the existing holes on the fender struts making adding a passenger backrest as simple and painless as possible. Sometimes longer bolts are required if you also have saddlebag supports fitted, but these can be readily supplied. We offer two main designs of sissybar, both by Highway Hawk, because they offer fantastic styling, build quality and value for money. The pointed Gothic Arch sissy bar is sharp and distinctive and available in black or chrome for most Harley and Japanese cruiser models. Likewise the rounded wide Passenger backrest is a great-looking addition to any cruiser, with a choice of black or chrome finish. Matching sissybar luggage rack is available from stock.
