Can anyone put a kit bike together?

Yes, anyone with basic mechanical knowledge can put a kit bike together. We recommend buying a manual like “How To Build A Kit Bike” by Timothy Remus. Once completed, the motorbike will need to pass a MSVA test to ensure it is safe and legal, prior to registration.

How do I order my bike?

Ordering your kit bike is easy. Once you've chosen your bike model just call or e-mail us. E-mail correspondence is best if you have option choices, because we want to make sure you get exactly what you want. We can also confirm how long delivery will take. Alternatively you can place an order directly on the website and pay using PayPal by entering the Code on the Parts page. We will then contact you to confirm the expected delivery date.

Are these kit bikes legal in the UK?

Yes. Custom Chrome Europe has achieved motorcycle manufacture status.

Can I buy a ready built bike?

If you don’t have the time or inclination we can build your kit bike for you, customized to your exact specification. Contact Allan for a quote and leadtimes.

How do I order parts?

You can order your parts online today. Go to the Online Parts Catalogue page, download the relevant section of the catalogue and find the relevant Parts number. Then enter the number and quantity into the Enquiry section and press SEARCH to look up the price. Then click BUY if you want to proceed and you will be taken to PayPal’s secure payment section or have the option of ordering another item. If the Part number starts with a zero please omit this when entering in the Enquiry box.

I’m having trouble downloading the Parts catalogue?

On average, sections of the Parts catalogue are 3 to 5MB in size. Depending on the speed of your connection it may take a few minutes to download these. All are PDF files which can be opened using Adobe Acrobat. If you do not have Adobe Reader you can download this free at www.adobe.com . To open the catalogue in a new window double click on the image, or right click then SAVE AS to save the file to your computer.

Can I buy a Custom Chrome 2007 Catalogue?

To buy a printed copy of the catalogue which has 1,440 pages and 25,000 parts, enter code 11612 into the Enquiry section on the Parts page. Price will be £10.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payments for all bikes or parts must be in FULL and UPFRONT. We use PayPal which means you can pay by all major credit cards, bank transfers, debit cards or via a PayPal account. All payments are completely secure and are protected by the PayPal guarantee. We accept payments in Pounds Sterling, US Dollars, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, Euros and Yen via PayPal.

Once I pay for my bike, how long before I get it?

Depending on the brand and model you purchase, it can be as fast as 10 days or up to a month. The waiting list for the most popular kit bike models fluctuates from month to month. We know you're anxious to get your bike, so we will always strive to give you an accurate delivery time. Once an order is placed we will contact you to confirm expected delivery date.

Once I pay for my parts, how soon will I get these?

Most items will be delivered within 10-14 days. We do our best to keep the most popular items, but with a catalogue of over 25,000 parts it is not feasible to have every item in stock. If delivery will take longer than 2 weeks, we will contact you to advise the expected delivery date with the option of canceling your order.

How will my bike be delivered and what is the cost?

Prices quoted for Kits Bikes exclude delivery as it is impossible to estimate what this will be without knowing the delivery address. We will give you a quote on request or once an order is placed. Alternatively you can collect your order from our premises. A complete kit bike weighs about 800 lbs and is shipped in a strapped box on a 4'x 4' pallet.

How will my parts be delivered and what is the cost?

Depending on the size, weight and value of the item your Parts will be delivered by Royal Mail Parcelforce or courier. Postage is added at the checkout based on the value of your order.

Does the bike kit come with everything I need?

Yes, your kit bike will come with everything you need to put it together except the labour, tools and paint finish. These are complete, quality custom kit motorcycles from leading manufacturer Custom Chrome. On all our bike kits, motor and transmission units are completely pre-assembled to make your job easier. These motorcycles include plenty of chrome, wide tyres, big engines, custom frames and sheet metal. In addition, we provide an excellent free instructional book "How to Build a Kit Bike" written by Timothy Remus, as well as a separate aftermarket service manual.
